Maya Al Khaldi’s debut album, Other World - عالم تاني 

The album "Other World", is composed, written and sung by Maya Al-Khaldi and produced by Tawleef. 

The album is inspired by Palestinian folklore, influenced by the present, to imagine a sonic future. All songs include either lyrics, melodies, or recordings from the audio archive of the traditional Palestinian music of the Popular Art Center in Ramallah

The singing and composition of Maya Al-Khaldi is influenced by different western music styles, but in this album Maya learns and practices Palestinian traditional music, arriving at a new vocal expression of her own, which is in constant flux. In this album,Maya Al Khaldi uses repetition and layering of melodies, sounds, and lyrics in songs as a way to reclaim and re-interpret folkloric music.

ألبوم "عالم ثاني" من الحان وكلمات وغناء مايا الخالدي و انتاج توليف. الالبوم مستلهم من الفلكلور الفلسطيني متأثراً بالحاضر ليتخيل مستقبلاً صوتياً ما. كل الأغاني تتضمن إما كلماتاً أو ألحاناً أو عزفاً من تسجيلات صوتية من أرشيف الموسيقى التقليدية التابع لمركز الفن الشعبي. يتأثر غناء وتلحين مايا الخالدي في موسيقى غربية مختلفة ولكن في هذا الألبوم تتعلم مايا وتمارس الموسيقى التقليدية الفلسطينية ، وتصل إلى تعبير صوتي جديد خاص بها ، وهو في حالة تغير مستمر. تستخدم مايا الخالدي في التلحين في ألبوم "عالم تاني" التكرار وبناء طبقات من ألحان وأصوات وكلمات في الأغاني كوسيلة لاستعادة وتكرر الموسيقى الفولكلورية.
