Makimakkuk is an independent music producer, lyricist, vocalist and music selector.

Her compositional style is highly influenced by hip hop, trip hop, folk, spoken-word, afro-beats, trap as well as experimental music. As a music selector, her mixed sets consist of additional genres such as bass music, dub, footwork, drum and bass, grime, funk, downtempo, house and techno as well as throwing some vocals every now and then in an improvisational and freestyle way where she mixes up homogenous hybrid sets.

Makimakkuk explores her emotions, thoughts and surroundings through music with a keen eye on topics such as women rights, social and political issues in Palestine and elsewhere, sexuality, abuse, freedom of movement, freedom of thought and faith. 

Her music is an ongoing changing and developing process. 

Maki is a species of Lemurs, and Makkuk means space shuttle in Arabic. It’s basically LemurShuttle.
